Mary Vander Plas is a children’s author who writes humorous and heartfelt picture books and chapter books. She is a member of several professional writing organizations and her debut picture book released in 2023. She lives in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin with her husband and pampered dogs. When not creating fictitious worlds and characters, Mary enjoys both open water and ice fishing, paddleboarding, traveling, reading historical fiction, repeatedly taking beginner pottery classes, and spoiling her grandchildren.
