Megan Joseph

Megan Meehan Joseph is a writer, artist, small business owner and parent. Fascinated from a young age by all things related to art, ideas, and travel, Megan set about creating a life that would allow her to experience as much of the world as possible. Megan was educated in three different countries (the U.S., Malaysia, and England) and has experience working in public relations, government, journalism, publishing, consulting, hospitality, property management, restaurant management, childcare, and education.

Originally from Massachusetts, Megan graduated with distinction from St. Mark’s School and Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude from Colby College with degrees in Government and Creative Writing. Megan spent the first decade of her career working in journalism and politics, holding various writing, editing and press secretary positions in New England, Washington, D.C. and Colorado. Her independent work has appeared in numerous publications, including the Boston Herald and the Martha’s Vineyard Times. Always captivated by the joy of sharing a good story, Megan spent the last several years raising her children and developing her writing. Now that her kids are in grade school, she is grateful to finally have the time to capture all the ideas running through her head.

She recently completed her debut novel, Fire Behavior, a genre-bending upmarket domestic suspense inspired by her experience as an evacuee during the 2010 Fourmile Fire in Boulder, Colorado. She is currently working on her second book, Fortunate Sons. Megan loves to learn, write, read, create, travel, spend time with friends and family, and be near the beach. When she’s not doing one of those things, you can find her shuttling a child somewhere. She lives on Cape Cod with her husband and two children.
