Mary Angus is a multidisciplinary artist predominantly focused in the areas of painting and illustration. Mary has always had a deep love for illustration and literature. She is a recently published author and illustrator promoting her first children’s picture book, Max’s Fuzzy Feelers.

Mary studied fine art at William Paterson University where she received her BFA with a concentration in painting. Currently, Mary also works as a project manager and lives in Asbury Park, New Jersey with her fiancé, her dog Ducky, and cat Crusher.

Max’s Fuzzy Feelers is a book centered around social emotional learning (SEL) and developing emotional intelligence and mindfulness techniques for young children. The main character Max has antennas or “feelers” that change their outward appearance based on Max’s internal emotional state. The universal message is to help normalize experiencing extreme emotions and help children to work with their feelings rather than hide them or run from them.
