Kelly Murtagh

Kelly Murtagh is a mom, Louisiana-native, and an award-winning actress, writer, producer, singer & children's book author. She has received multiple awards including the Best Actress Award at Festival South, and the Best Actress Award at the 48 Independent Short Film Festival. Kelly produced, co-wrote, and starred in a feature-length film "Shapeless", set in New Orleans telling of her personal struggle with an eating disorder which was awarded one of only six spots in the prestigious The Gotham Institute (formerly IFP) narrative lab in 2020 and had its world premiere at the 20th Annual Tribeca Festival and its international premiere at the Raindance Film Festival in London in 2021.

 

Kelly also authored the children's book "Zoo Krewe" - which was illustrated by Samantha Aldana, who directed "Shapeless." Kelly sings professionally with her partner, talented singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Will Dickerson. She is also a certified sound healer. She is the middle sister of two brothers. Kelly graduated Magna Cum Laude from Elon University in North Carolina in Broadcast Journalism and Business Administration.
