Jenson Smith

Jenson Smith is a writer-director, actor, and cellist based in NYC. Her work spans from comedy to horror, which in her mind, are often the same thing. Jenson has created and shot several series including Too Much Therapy (with Sondra James and Marc Menchaca), Yoga World with Beverly Johnson, and Unfriended.

 

Her new pilot, Malignant (with co-writer Jessica Jain), about former best friends turned rival scientists, is currently being shopped around. Her films include The Medium, The Hidden Baby, Naughty Jesus, Real People, That Girl Freaks Me Out, and Lisa Goes Hiking. As an actor, TV/film work includes Orange Is the New Black, The Affair, FBI: Most Wanted, Louie, The Comedian, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, The Queen, Inside Game, and the upcoming films Holy New York and Magic Hour. Graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
