Eryn Rea

Eryn Rea grew up in Kentucky and then moved to Los Angeles at a young age to finish school, majoring in Political Science. Later she fell in love with Improv and Stand-up Comedy, doing shows across Los Angeles just for fun, before a deep dive into training as an Actor and Screenwriter. Most recently her acting credits include THE FIRST LADY series on Showtime, and the audio-drama BROKEN ROAD.

When Eryn is not acting she loves writing scripts, and works with the independent production company MAGNUSSEN MEDIA GROUP. She has directed, written, or co-written five produced short films, an animated mini-series, and is currently shopping three feature scripts to the market. Eryn has also helped develop and produce three independent series, two proof-of-concepts, and several short films. Her background in acting, directing, casting, and production informs her scriptwriting, as she appreciates the collaborative process. Having taken over twenty courses in screenwriting and film production she has given script coverage to new Writers for over five years, and has been a first round judge for three different film festivals.

Between projects she attends film markets and festivals such as Hollyshorts, Seattle Film Summit, SXSW, TIFF, MIPTV, and Cannes to keep track of global media trends. A fan of all that is weird and unexpected, Eryn encourages everyone to bring their own uniqueness to the page and screen.
